Meet ‘Perdita’, or Mary Robinson, the eighteenth-century actress, poet, novelist, feminist, and mistress to George IV. Join us for an intimate engagement with performer Claudia Barton in the radiant West Room of the Wallace Collection, where portraits of Mary Robinson by Gainsborough, Romney and Reynolds adorn the walls. Robinson’s romantic poems will be set to music, her words mused over and her roller-coaster career celebrated. Performances at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm. Limited to eighteen people per performance. Meet in the front hall of the Museum 5-10 minutes before the start of your performance.
Ticket price includes a glass of wine, beer or soft drink redeemable in our restaurant. The Wallace Restaurant will be open throughout the evening for drinks and dinner.
